D4SME SME Digitalisation & Sustainability: The Twin Transition
This SME Digitalisation & Sustainability: The Twin Transition webinar responds to a call to strengthen the connection between SME digitalisation, sustainability and resilience to “build back better” our economies and societies. This moderated panel session will discuss the ‘twin transition’ and delve deeper into how digitalisation can enable SMEs to build back more sustainable. The webinar will propose a focus on what “traditional” SMEs, many of which are starting out on their digital journey, can do to be more sustainable and achieve environmental goals. The panellists will discuss how governments can develop and deploy policy solutions in order to help SMEs improve their sustainability practices whilst simultaneously transforming digitally.
The moderated panel will include an exciting line-up of international experts from OECD governments, large business, SME associations, academia, and most importantly from SMEs themselves – bringing their real-life experiences. All participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussion with the panellists to enhance understanding on how - through digitalisation -different types of SMEs can emerge from the pandemic more sustainable.
